Description & BRIEF
This project involved the creation of a highly personalised, bespoke illustrated wallpaper and wall art concept for a family nursery inspired by Central Park. Kate worked closely with the client over an extended design process, thoughtfully weaving together family history, loved ones, pets and meaningful memories into a cohesive, story driven artwork. The illustration featured multiple custom vignettes including family members, late relatives represented symbolically, treasured pets, personal hobbies and sentimental references such as named boats, favourite books and special locations. Every character and scene was carefully positioned to balance emotional sensitivity, family dynamics and visual storytelling, resulting in a whimsical yet deeply personal artwork. The final design was created to function both as a full wallpaper mural and as removable framed printed wall art, allowing the family to enjoy the artwork across different formats and future spaces.
