Project Description
This custom wallpaper was created for a family who are longtime fans of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Designed as an immersive Narnia scene, the artwork is set in a forest looking out across a lake toward the Ice Queen’s castle in the distance.
The mural transitions from summer to winter across the wall, with warm summer details such as berries and foliage on the left, gradually moving into snow, ice, and icicles on the right. Aslan walks through the centre of the scene, with the snow melting beneath his steps as he moves forward.
The client’s four children were illustrated as the main Narnia characters, making the artwork deeply personal to the family. Mr Tumnus was also featured as part of the scene.
The wallpaper was created for a bathroom that is accessed through exquisite, ornate cupboard doors, echoing the iconic wardrobe entrance into Narnia and adding an extra layer of storytelling and surprise to the space.
